Heating and Gas Systems:

• Check and clean gas appliances (heater, stove, etc.)
• Inspect gas pipes and connections for leaks
• Shut off gas supply and secure gas bottles
• Test heating system to ensure functionality in cold conditions

Electrical Systems:

• Charge the battery fully and disconnect 
• Check and protect electrical connections from moisture
• Inspect external lights for winter travel conditions
• Test residual current devices (RCDs) and circuit breakers

Bodywork and Seals:

• Inspect and lubricate all door and window seals
• Ensure roof vents are properly sealed to prevent water ingress

Interior Preparation:

• Open cupboards and drawers for air circulation
• Remove soft furnishings and store in a dry place (optional)
• Use moisture absorbers or dehumidifiers inside the caravan

Tires and Suspension:

• Check tire pressure and adjust for winter conditions
• Inspect tire tread and condition for potential winter use
• Jack up the caravan to reduce strain on the tires (if storing for long periods)

Security and Storage:

• Secure all windows, doors, and hatches
• Ensure caravan is locked and secured with proper immobilizers or wheel clamps
• Check storage area for ventilation and protection from extreme temperatures

Other Preparations:

• Clean and empty the toilet cassette
• Remove perishable food and items from the fridge and cupboards
• Winter cover installation (you to supply an external cover)
